The new Money Tools are here!
The money tools answer the most common questions about finance which require calculations and projections. Are you planning to take a loan? Do you want to achieve financial independence and retire early? Are you having trouble with debt and don't know where to start? The money tools give answers to these questions and more.
My personal favourite is the FIRE Planner that let's me understand how much I need to save and invest to retire early and live off my investments. My personal FIRE number is 1.050.000 euros. That's a lot of money invested. I'm around half way to the target and the calculator says that it will take me about 8 more years to achieve my target. That's not too long when I really think about it, which is encouraging.
Another tool that I really like is the Loan Calculator which let's me simulate how much I would save in interest costs if I would do monthly extra payments to pay back the loan faster. I have a big housing loan together with my wife. Instead of investing all my savings, I could allocate a part of it to pay back the loan faster to reduce my risk level and get some diversification. With the calculator I can see what would be the return on investment for these paybacks.
There's also the Money Type Quiz which is a fun way to learn more about yourself as a money user and get an actionable item to work on next. I am a Builder which means that I'm motivated by progress, I enjoy milestones and like seeing my numbers move. That pretty much sums up Money Journey, haha.
All these money tools are available publicly, but if you create a Money Journey account, they are also available inside the app, prepopulated with your own numbers.
